Digital blogger Dennis Itumbi on Friday, January 32, penned an emotional poem to the ousted Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
In the poem shared on his Twitter, Itumbi consoled Waititu and assured him of his prayers during this trying time.
“May Justice like the mighty waters, in the fullness of time, deliver fairness and truth. Politics should never defeat the law.
“You are in my prayers and I must add, it is not over yet. Keep fighting. Keep seeking justice. It shall be well,” Itumbi wrote.
In addition, Itumbi congratulated Kiambu residents and their newly sworn-in Governor, James Nyoro.
“To the people of Kiambu, congratulations. May the county grow and prosper. May the people sweat without loss, labour with hope, love and results, and harvest services in plenty. Nairobi’s bedroom – God Bless your journey of devolution,” Itumbi concluded.
Itumbi’s poem was penned minutes after Nyoro was sworn in as the new Kiambu governor by High Court Judge John Oyiengo.
The judge administered the oath of office at the ceremony attended by various leaders including; Nominated MP Maina Kamanda, Kiambu Women Rep Gathoni wa Muchomba and Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura.
On his part, Nyoro swore to serve the people of Kiambu diligently and to do justice to all. Further, he signed the Certificate of Inauguration which was handed over to him by Oyiengo.
Nyoro further committed himself to abide by the leadership and integrity code in line with the Leadership and Integrity Act, signing a commitment document as an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officer looked on
“I hereby commit myself to abide by the provisions of the code at all times,” Nyoro declared.
