Persepolis will meet Saudi Arabia’s Al Taawoun in Group C of the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
The Reds have just one point from their two previous matches after losing 2-0 to Qatari’s Al Duhail and sharing spoils with UAE’s Sharjah.
“We are Persepolis and always fight for the victory. I would like to thank the Qatar Football Federation for centralizing the West zone fixtures in Doha,” Golmohammadi said in the news conference.
“We know that the match against Al-Taawoun is like a final since we have earned just one point from our two previous matches. I am optimistic about the match,” he added.
Two Persepolis iconic players Mehdi Torabi and Ali Alipour have left the team but Golmohammadi says the new players are ready to fill their places.
“Torabi and Alipour are two important players but the new players are highly motivated for the competition,” Golmohammadi concluded.
