Wafungwa zaidi ya 200 watoroka gerezaji Uganda

Zaidi ya wafungwa 200 wametoroka kutoka gereza la Moroto kaskazini mwa Uganda, wamesema maafisa, na kuleta hali ya wasiwasi katika mji huo

Wafungwa hao wanaripotiwa kumuua askari baada ya kutoroka katika gereza la mjiniMoroto kabla ya kukimbilia maeneo ya milimani.

Jeshi na maafisa wa gereza wanawatafuta wafungwa waliotoroka , ambao inasemekana walitoroka na bunduki 15 pamoja na risasi.

Msemaji wa jeshi amesema wafungwa saba wamekamatwa na wengine wawili wameuawa.

Jengo la gereza hilo liko kwenye eneo la mlima Moroto- Mount Moroto, pembeni mwa mji huo.

Kwa mujibu wa shirika la habari la Associated Press, wafungwa walivua sare zao za jela za rangi ya manjano na kukimbia uchi milimani kuepuka kubainika.

Ripoti zinasema ufyatuaji risasi umesitisha shughuli za biashara katika mji wa Moroto.

Moroto ni mji mkuu katika mkoa wa Karamoja, ambako kumekuwa na mapigano na ghasia za wafugaji anasema mwandishi wa BBC Patience Atuhaire kutoka Kampala.
