In a statement released on Monday, Amakhosi confirmed that Keletso Sifama will be spending the remainder of the campaign at the Team of Choice.

Sifama will reunite with former coach Ernst Middendorp whom he worked with at Amakhosi soon after his promotion last year.

The 18-year-old featured twice under Middendorp last season as the German mentor took notice of his talent and potential as a footballer.

Under Gavin Hunt, Sifama featured three times across all competitions, and the club felt he needed more game time to grow as a player.

Sifama will now hope to take his career to another level, especially now that he will be working with the coach who has faith in him.

His immediate task will be to try and break into Middendorp’s starting line-up and help Maritzburg United move up the PSL log.

As things stand, the Team of Choice are placed 15th on the log with just nine points from 15 league games.

Sifama could make his debut when Maritzburg United take on Orlando Pirates in the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

The encounter is scheduled for February 27 at Harry Gwala Stadium.
