Swallows and Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu in goalless draw

Swallows FC extended their unbeaten in the DStv Premiership to 15 matches after a goalless draw against AmaZulu on Sunday.

While The Birds will be happy with their performances in the first half of the season, they will rue a missed opportunity to cut the gap to log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Swallows are in third place with 29 points, four behind Mamelodi Sundowns.

Meanwhile, Benni McCarthy’s Usuthu side are in seventh place on 22 points having played one more match.

Swallows will next be in action away against Cape Town City on Sunday, 21 February at 15:30.

AmaZulu have a mouth-watering clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday, 17 February (15:00) at the FNB Stadium to look forward to.
