28-year-old school teacher abducted in Minna

A 28-year-old school teacher simply known as Sadiya Mohammad has been allegedly abducted in Maitumbi area, a suburb of Minna, the capital of Niger State.

It was learnt Sadiya was kidnapped on Thursday afternoon on her way returning to her residence at Airport Quarters, Minna.

The victim, who is a mother of one, Muhabarishaji gathered, left her place of work in a private school owned by her biological father around 12 noon.

It was learnt that her disappearance threw her family into confusion as they searched frantically all over the town for her, but their efforts failed as they were unable to find her.

However, around Friday afternoon, it was gathered that her abductors called the family on her phone and demanded for a ransom of N5 million.

A family member told our reporter on phone that the entire family is presently in disarray following the abduction of her niece.

She explained that the entire family is worried because the kidnappers told them they have taken her to Birinin Gwari Forest in Kaduna State already.
