Youth Council reports ‘underage prostitution ring’ to SAPS
The SAYC make a number of astonishing claims, many of which have been submitted to the police this week. The group is also hoping to take this matter further, by lobbying the Western Cape Police Commissioner for further input.
According to sources in the Western Cape, the underage prostitution scheme involved a number of adolescent girls, the youngest of which is understood to be a Grade 9 student. SAYC is now asking the authorities to intensify their tracking of illegal immigrants, in suburbs like Delft and Parklands.
“The South African Youth Council has learned about a disturbing trend of foreign-led prostitution of adolescent girls in Cape Town suburbs. The most recently exposed of these incidents is of a young Grade 9 learner from Delft that occurred in Parklands.”
“We view the Parklands incident as statutory rape, a serious criminal charge as per the country’s law and we are delighted that structures of the community have opened a case on the matter. We will soon be writing to the SAPS Western Cape Police Commissioner.”
“Indeed, we are now making a plea for speedy resolution and more resources provided for the case. A joint program must be created, immediately verifying and deporting illegal immigrants, while arresting those who are found to be on the wrong side of the law.”
SAYC Western Cape
“We call for a joint operations in Cape Town surbubs between the Police and Home Affairs to ensure that all those that are within are legal and therefore can be traced should they commit crime.”

Herman Mashaba SLAMS ‘evil acts’ of foreign-led criminal group
Anti-foreigner sentiment is riding high in South Africa at the moment, and a case like this will do nothing to ease tensions simmering between locals and illegal immigrants scattered across Mzansi. However, Herman Mashaba doesn’t feel like this is the time for pleasantries.
- The ActionSA leader has reacted to the SAYC statement, lambasting those who have criticised his stance on undocumented migrants:
“These EVIL cases are prevalent throughout South Africa, protected by some so-called Human Rights lawyers, Commentators and Academics. They unleash name-calling and insults to anyone against the practice, hence my determination to speak openly on the matter.”
