Fuel scarcity in Imo: Uzodinma includes oil marketers in joint committee to seek solutions

Senator Hope Uzodinma, Imo State Governor has constituted a joint committee between representatives of the Imo State Government and oil marketers to review the current fuel scarcity in the state and suggest solutions to prevent such from occurring in future.

The committee was constituted on Monday at the end of a meeting with all stakeholders in the oil sector held at the Government House Owerri.

Uzodinma while constituting the joint committee mandated them to come up with a report that will bring a lasting solution to the problem.

He said,” Do a thorough job. Apart from the issue at hand, bring in other issues so that we can have a lasting solution. ”

He enjoined them to also come up with a realistic recommendation. I shall not disappoint you people, he promised.

He further said the meeting was important, as it gave all participants the opportunity to find a lasting solution.

Speaking on behalf of the Marketers delegation, Billy Harry said, “You are a brother, a friend and a dependable partner. You have already given a solution to the issue. We are with you. We know you. Our relationship with you is very cordial”

The committee is made up of Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Amara Iwuanyanwu, Secretary to the State Government, Cosmos Iwu, Deputy Chief of Staff – Barr. Emeka Agbo, Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, S.A Petroleum, Goodluck Opiah, S.A Religious Affairs, Reverend Nwanebo from the Imo State Government team.

Members of the committee from the oil marketers side include Billy Harry, Chinedu Ndubuisi, Godwin Nwaka, Abdulmumini Shaibu, Chi Martins Jr, Emeka Ozurumba, Chidiebere Ezeji, Acho Ezirim.
