Kodak Black is aiming high for the debut of his recently announced album Pistols & Pearls, whether in audible or visual form.
Furthermore, he recently stated that his short film The Don will be released on the same day as the new project, on Friday, May 26. According to the trailer, the story will revolve around a difficult crime thriller that follows Kodak’s character as he navigates through hardships and tribulations. Thematically, it surely corresponds to several of Yak’s raps about gang brutality and redemption. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if it has a greater narrative or conceptual connection to Pistols & Pearls.
Regardless, it should make for an interesting diversion, bringing his talents to a different space. “Sign up now with the link for your chance to catch the Exclusive Screening For My Feature Short Film “The Don” in MIAMI, NY, ATL, & LA…” Kodak Black wrote on an Instagram post announcing the short. “Official Release This Friday 5/26 www.officialkodakblack.com.” With this new hype around his artistic endeavors, it’ll probably be the marker of a new era for the Florida MC.

I COULDNT FIND PEACE WITHOUT ALL THE VIOLENCE @atlanticrecords It’s Been Well !!! Nothing But Gratitude & The Utmost Respect.” Furthermore, a lot of things are changing in the 25-year-old’s artistic portfolio, and fans are excited to see how they play out.
Meanwhile, Yak also recently made big moves in the movie world in more traditional, but nonetheless exciting ways. His track with NLE Choppa, JVKE, Muni Long, and Jimin for the Fast X soundtrack, “Angel Pt. 1,” is one of many star-studded cuts on the compilation. Whether it’s of his own design or as part of a larger team, he clearly wants to level up with these new moves.
