Man Utd owners to explore sale as Glazer family consider investment options

The Glazer family could look to sell Manchester United as they consider welcoming outsider investment.

United fans have never warmed to the Glazers ever since they took control of the club back in 2005.

17 years after said takeover, United supporters continue to protest against their ownership, but this chapter in the club’s history could be coming to an end.

Sky News report that the Glazers will imminently announce plans to source outsider investment, and that a full sale of the club is an option to them.

The Glazers are currently being advised by investment bankers and an official statement could be released soon.

United have suffered a notable on-field decline in recent years and have not won a Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013. They have not won a major trophy of any kinds since their 2017 Europa League triumph.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who mutually agreed a departure from United on Tuesday, called out the Glazers’ ownership in his recent interview with Piers Morgan.
