    Mashambulizi yazua hofu Msumbiji

    Watu 30,000 wanahitaji haraka misaada ya kibinadamu kutokana na mashambulizi yaliyofanywa na kundi la kigaidi la Ansar’ul Sunna katika eneo la Palma nchini Msumbiji, nchi ya Afrika Mashariki katika pwani ya Bahari ya Hindi.

    Shirika la misaada lenye makao yake Msumbiji Taasisi ya Kitaifa ya Kudhibiti na Kupunguza Maafa (INGD) limetangaza kuwa watu elfu 9 walitoroka katika maeneo kama Pemba, Mueda, Nangade na Montepuez kwa sababu ya shida ya usalama huko Palma, ambako wanaishi watu takriban elfu 40.

    Katika taarifa hiyo, ilibainika kuwa takriban watu elfu 30 wanahitaji msaada wa haraka wa kibinadamu kutokana na mashambulizi huko Palma.

    Kwa upande mwingine, imearifiwa kuwa serikali ya Msumbiji itatoa dola milioni 585 za misaada ya kibinadamu kwa mkoa huo kwa siku 30.

    Idadi ya wahamiaji nchini Msumbiji imezidi elfu 670 kutokana na mashambulizi dhidi ya raia na shirika la kigaidi la Ansar’ul Sunna.

    Zaidi ya watu 2,000 walipoteza maisha katika mashambulizi ya kundi la kigaidi la Ansar’ul Sunna lililoibuka miaka 4 iliyopita huko Cabo Delgado, mpakani mwa Tanzania, ambapo kuna gesi asilia na rasilimali za madini ya thamani.
