Kiharu Member of Parliament, Ndindi Nyoro, was on Wednesday, January 5, suspended from Parliament.
Nyoro was suspended for two days from the House over bribery allegations he made against Wajir East MP, Fatuma Gedi.
In his submission before the House, the outspoken MP allied to Deputy President William Ruto claimed that Gedi was issuing bribes to pro-handshake Legislators.
He further alleged that the money Gedi was distributing were proceeds of corruption obtained from the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) scandal.
“There has been a trend of bribing members in this House, and today we saw money being distributed by Hon Gedi to members who are voting in favour of this Bill,” he claimed.
“I cannot be intimidated by these hecklers and Covid billionaires.”
Gedi was also suspended for distributing lollipops (sweets) in the House.
