PFA Vertu Motors Championship Fans’ Player of the Month – September nominees

90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2022/23 season.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

Nakhi Wells

Bristol City did not have the best of months in September with just one win, but Nakhi Wells had a stellar time.

He began the month with two goals in City’s 3-2 win over Blackburn, before also claiming an assist in their loss at Norwich.

Another goal arrived at his former club Burnley, though the match ended 2-1 to the Clarets.

Carlton Morris

Carlton Morris is settling well into life at Kenilworth Road following his summer move from Barnsley.

He began the month with a goal in the loss over Wigan, but better things were on the horizon as he claimed both goals in the 2-2 draw with Coventry.

Morris then helped Luton with a strike in the 2-0 win over Blackburn.

Another month, another nomination for Norwich’s in-form American Josh Sargent.

He was centre stage in the 3-0 win over as he scored and claimed an assist.

He also claimed the winning strike in the 3-2 success against Bristol City.

No goals for the Finnish star Teemu Pukki in the opening month of the season, but he made up for that in September.

A goal in the win over Coventry was followed by a brace in the 3-2 victory over Bristol City.

He claimed a crucial assist in the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Jordan Storey, Troy Parrott

Preston North End have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season defensively and Jordan Storey has been a key performer.

September was not easy but they claimed a very good draw with Burnley and Storey was key to that with Preston’s goal.

Sheffield United are enjoying a great start to the season and Sander Berge remains key to it.

The Norwegian helped the Blades to a perfect September with three wins.

He scored in the 2-0 win at Hull before also claiming an assist in the win at Preston.
