Springbok fullback Willie le Roux has announced he’s agreed to a contract extension with his current Japan club Toyota Verblitz.

Le Roux left English side Wasps to join Toyota Verblitz on a one-year deal for the 2019/20 season, but confirmed on Wednesday that he has now extended his stay in Japan.

The details of Le Roux’s contract extension were not revealed by either the club or the Stellenbosch-born 31-year-old.

Willie le Roux has played 61 Tests for the Springboks and was a member of the 2019 Rugby World Cup-winning squad.
