“Consumer demand is more visual, they need short and easy content to consume. The paper comes with a design that is heavy on graphics and illustration, quick look through, which enables a transition from print to the digital space.

“The real deal must remain quality content. We promise world-class journalism that will bring insight to the reader,” Rapuro stated.

The four heads spearheading the new redesign include Rapuro, head of digital Caroline Kimutai, editor in charge of strategy and content Peter Opondo and also editor in charge of the weekly newspaper, Nairobian Charles Otieno.

Among the guests in attendance included ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru who noted that the move would place Kenya on the map in terms of digital content.
